Marketing vs. Business Brochures

By Mart Gil Abareta

Brochures can either be used as marketing or business brochures. How does the two differ from each other? Well, a marketing brochure is utilized to sell the products or services of a business to target clients. A business brochure, on the other hand, is used to give your new or target clients an overview about the main purposes of your business. The latter can be considered as your clients initial communication with your company so it is important to make it a really good one - something that motivates your readers to know your business more deeply.

Business brochures must contain pictures to make it more appealing and add more spice of life. I must say that photos are an important element of an effective brochure. Color pictures are an additional advantage to your business since color draws immediate attention from your target audience. However, during the design process, it is important to be very careful in choosing the size of your photos or graphics to avoid overcrowding in your brochures.

In addition, a business brochure must explain your business vision, mission and objectives clearly. Obviously, this is important for your readers to automatically understand your company goals even at the first reading of your brochure. Remember that your aim here is to inform them about the nature of your business. It is therefore essential to make all information in your brochure as meaningful as possible to make them want to hear more about you after reading your brochure.

As a representation of your products and services, your marketing brochures must be artistic, attractive and fun to read. If you have this kind of brochure, you will always make a first impression that your company is certainly a good one and will motivate readers to pick up your brochure and read it. Take note that even through a single glance in your brochure, it will make your readers decide if theyre going to take time to read it or not.

Furthermore, it is necessary for your marketing brochure to have a distinct theme that describes why the products and services that your offer are far better than your competitors. It is also important that your them itself is unique and can be easily remembered. When it comes to the design of your marketing brochure, you have to pick an appealing cover because as we all know, its the one that will make the first impressions for your business. You also have to make use of quality paper which can certainly add more impact to your promotional materials.
